I bought a new car. I just got it today. It's a Jetta GLS. IT HAS HEATED FRONT SEATS! And a sunroof. It's a 2005. It's sexy. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that IT'S MINE. *dies*

When I get unlazy (and you all know how often that is), I'll take some pics and put 'em in my scraps!

So, I found a beautiful burgundy satin silk fabric on ebay that would have been absolutely perfect for my Rozalin costume when I was initially making it. At first, I was dead set on remaking it, but I think I can just dissect my current dress and replace the red fabric with the burgundy fabric. Thankfully, the black polyester satin I used for the bulk of the dress is very forgiving, so needle holes should be minimal.

While I'm at it, I may as well figure out a better way to construct the rear bow and then to remake the front yellow bow (the larger one) as I it was sewn together hastily and has some obvious flaws.

Hopefully with this, I can make my seams look more polished as well. Unfinished seams cost me my craftsmanship award at AniMagic. >_<

Speaking of which, once I have a stable job and get some bills paid down, I really should start my Celes dress. All of the appliqué won't be hard, just time consuming. *sigh* I also need to figure out a good way to do scalloped hems and try to find a good quality, used serger because if I'm going to spend that much money on fabric again, I'm going to have professional seams.

God I'm crazy. I just love making elaborate dresses though. T_T

For the people who keep accusing me of stealing my art on Gaia. I am AkaiRingo. I don't have the same name on devart cuz I didn't want to use this name on Gaia.

*pouts* Since when it is required to get an eye exam for non prescription contact lenses? this is the first I've ever heard of it and the only sites that sell contacts w/out requiring a prescription are rather seedy and I wouldn't want to put those in my eyes. =/ Unless I could buy them in person and saw they came in a sealed container and whatnot.

So there's no way to get red colored contacts for my Rozalin costume in time for this weekend as most vision places have to order for the wild eyes contacts. I suppose this is a good thing cuz the 9mm SFX "Vampire Lilith" lenses are much nicer looking than the Wild Eye red hot contacts. Granted, they ARE $100 per lens. I think I'd rather get my boots and hat for my Pirates 2 Elizabeth Swann costume first. >_>

Whoo hoo! I'm going to Ani-Magic! I wasn't really even excited about it until I was able to book my own room at the hotel it's being held at. I've always wanted to have a room to myself at a convention! @_@

Anyway, I've bought my badge and reserved my hotel - 1 queen bed non-smoking. Also, I won't have a wig for my Rozalin costume, unfortunately, but I'm thinking about dying my hair a golden slightly strawberry blonde and just attaching combs to the crown and having my hair cascade out of it in curls, rather than spikes. Hey, that still looks regal! If I don't dye my hair, I'll just use my normal hair color and do the same thing.

I'm also going to try and get some red contacts and some form of elf ears. I'm not worrying about the wings right now.

Hm... I also have to buy new false eyelashes cuz I didn't like the kind I got last time...>_>

Lastly, if there is anyone that is going to AM or would like to go, but are worried about lodging, tell me and I'l consider sharing the room. I'd prefer only females request and you would be paying half the cost of the room (less if I graciously allow two people to room with me - after all, the whole point of this is to NOT have a crowded room where I won't be able to sleep in a bed). The cost for two nights is $178 - so $89 would cover half.

Oh well... it's unlikely I'll approve of more than one person staying unless for some reason I really, really, really, really like the people and would love more than anything to share a room with them, but didn't ask because I assumed they already had rooms. @_@;

And yes, I feel all powerful having this room... for some weird reason. o_O *is wacko, but you all already knew that*

Now I'm ranting because I'm at work and extremely bored as I've actually finished all the work there is to do for the time being and am just answering phones; however, I could finish redoing the labels for the filing cabenet, but that's not a required task, it just nets me bonus points with the office, so I'm not going to do it cuz I'm lazy and it's a ton of work.
