This is my Rozalin costume. The costume I'm so damned proud of. It took many hours of work... probably about 100. I had some help for adjustments, as I don't have a dress manikin.
I tried to style the wig myself. That didn't work out too well. I will be commissioning a wig from a capable cosplay wig maker when I find one. If you're interested in crafting a wig for this costume, please send me a note with your prices and/or requests for further references. I have the hair accessory made already. Materials: Gems - polyester resin Jewelery - polyurethane resin Paint - Liquidex Bright Gold Acrylic Yellow and red fabric - crepe satin Black fabric - polyester satin White fabric - muslin Bow bases - fusible fleece Total cost: $650 This costume isn't quite complete, yet. I still need ears, red contacts, wings, and most importantly, a new wig. Oh yes, and a link to a reference picture: [link] Yes, many think her dress has maroon, and not red, but most of the official art's lighting is blue, some art has it red, I couldn't find maroon crepe satin (I wanted the yellow and red to be the same fabric), and red looks far more regal than maroon. Any questions as to how I created anything on this costume? Well, note me if you have any. |

Excellent piece. And you look great wearing it!
Are you going to Comic-Con? If so, I hope to see you there!

Take a look here!
You may want to consider revising it if you ever find some maroon though; I think it would give it a more regal look. However, it still looks great as-is. Good work - I know how much time you put into this project. It shows.

Yeah, the black, red, and yellow part of the dress alone weighed about seven pounds. It caused the waistband of the hoop skirt to dig into my hips and leave nice indentations that wouldn't go away for like a day. The gold shoes I wore on Saturday practically killed my feet....It was so bad I nearly collapsed cuz they just wouldn't carry me anymore. Thankfully, I wore my more comfortable black high heels on Monday. @_@
Thanks, though. I'm so proud of this costume. It was a nightmare. x_X
